India is advancing rapidly toward a clean energy future under the Government of India’s renewable energy mission. The national goal is to achieve 500 GW of non-fossil-fuel electricity capacity and ensure that at least 50% of total energy requirements come from renewable sources by 2030 - strengthening the country’s position as a global leader in sustainable power.
At SB Wind Energy, we share this vision and are committed to supporting India’s renewable transition through responsible, scalable power generation.
We are already on track:
- Our independent power plant near Tiruvallur currently generates over 6 million units of clean electricity annually, supplying thousands of homes and reducing fossil-fuel dependence.
- We have set a long-term target to generate over 300 million units of renewable power per year by 2030, contributing meaningfully to India’s energy transition and carbon-reduction goals.
- Every unit of renewable electricity produced helps avoid approximately 0.9 kg of CO₂ emissions, meaning our future capacity could reduce more than 270,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year.
Through solar and wind energy, we aim to deliver:
- Reliable, non-polluting electricity for industrial and residential use
- Reduction of greenhouse-gas emissions
- Efficient project execution aligned with India’s green-energy roadmap
